Housewarming or Griha Pravesh is the ancient Hindu traditional culture performed when we enter a newly engineered house or property for the first time. Housewarming ceremony is hosting to present their new house to their friends and family. Before planning for the house warming, an auspicious date and time are fixed for the house warming. The base of the Altar is drawn with some floral designs with rice flour and the satyanarayan Swamy photo is kept and is decorated with a flower garland. Satyanarayan pooja has five parts of stories. Each story represents the importance of the puja. After reciting the five stories by the pandit. The prasadam is offered to god and then distributed to all the guests.
